Upscaled 3D printed Lego flowers
As a kid (and be honest even as an adult now) I loved playing with Lego bricks. They are one of my most favorite toys. They can do so much for creativity and imagination. So it comes to no surprise, that there are a lot of 3d prints to be found on the web. But I am not so much interested in the correct Lego scale ones, no no no. I am more interested in those brought to human scale! One of those prints I found and had to print and paint were the Lego flowers and the flower pot. I printed them in ABS, since I almost print it exclusively after getting an enclosed printer (K1 Max). After some sanding and filler-priming I started airbrushing the parts. Some gloss varnish for the finish and they looked great! But I have to make one note: Since the flowers in the pot were a gift for my wife and I was on a time crunch for our anniversairy, I assembled them too early. The varnish wasn’t completely cured. So now, it is impossible to remove the flower stem from the pot or the petals from the stem. If you plan to replicate this, be aware of that! 😉
The live streams I did painting another set of Lego flowers can be found on my YouTube channel:
